Landscape Fixtures: Path Lights

Path Lighting, for the most part, is low-level safety lighting. In order to eliminate the "runway" effect created by the common lighting, path lights need to be strategically placed in locations that are not pre-determined. Fixture height, lamp type, optics, surface material, and light from alternate sources are all things considered before we select and position a path light. It is easy to overuse them, but their use can be minimized with correct placement. Not only should they be functional, but should always look as though they belong, blending in with the landscape instead of taking away from it.
